RICHARD SPEHR
Director of Mechanical Engineering Services

Since 1978 Mr. Spehr has been in design, engineering and manufacturing of many different products . Design contributions have included consumer electronic products, military communications, packaging, commercial citrus processing equipment, and medical /orthopedic products . Among the materials Richard has worked with are polymers, metals, and composites.

In his 31 year career, he is and has been an engineer and designer for Paradyne, AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Beckwith Electric, E-Systems, Key Packaging, Soule Packaging, ProTech Monitoring, Gulf Machinery, Bottom Line Technologies, and Suncoast Design and most recently joined CMS WorldGroup as its Director of Mechanical Engineering Services.

Over the past 5 years Richard has worked closely with inventors; assisting them in the design, creation and documentation of their products for patenting and/or manufacturing, such as a scuba tow, solar powered attic fan, a dehusking machine for the chocolate industry, specialized plastic blister pak designs, cross cut potato machine, ammunitions shells sorting machine, corrugated die cutting machine for cardboard, plumbing tools , fitness products, medical – orthopedic braces and supports, sports medicine products and many more .

Richard is a 10 year veteran general aviation pilot and avid scuba diver, with experience in kayaking, digital photography, and black powder, muzzle loading weaponry and historic reenactment club member.
